As a Scottish watercolour artist, creating oil paintings of Scottish Castles etc. is satisfying but often time consuming and so in preference I would generally use watercolour as the chosen medium. Watercolour although an unforgiving medium lends itself to some interesting interpretations of the subject matter and is particularly suitable wher accurate detailing is required.
