The Art of Cameron F. Coutts covers a wide range of subjects executed in watercolour, oils or acrylics all of these are original paintings.
As a Scottish watercolour artist creating oil paintings of Scottish Castles etc. is satisfying but often time consuming and so in preference I would generally use watercolour as the chosen medium. Watercolour although an unforgiving medium lends itself to some interesting interpretations of the subject matter.
Subjects include Steam Railway Engines, Motor Sport, Transport, Military Vehicles, Landscapes, Still-Life, Buildings, Golf Courses, Scotland`s Mountains and Castles as well as Animal Portraits and Farming Scenes.
Living in Perth since 1968 Cameron now paints mainly to commission and runs a Picture Framing Service specialising in bespoke framing. |
