Landscapes

Landscapes can depict the wider vista or the smaller more intimate scene, each having its own special sense of place.

The challenge is to capture the distinctive qualities of the place and interpret them in paint.

Whichever medium is used be it watercolour, oils or acrylic is very much a personal choice. Sometimes the atmospheric effects will suggest the most appropriate medium.

My predilection for architectural subjects is a natural shift from the general panoramic view allowing me to focus more on the unique qualities of an urban setting where people and vehicles are present.
